However, children, often overflowing with energy and impatient, don't feel the same way as their elders. How can we keep them occupied? How do you turn their visit to St-Malo into a festive occasion? Here are a few ideas for activities that will delight the little ones.

Ideas for children's activities in Saint-Malo

St-Malo can be transformed into a veritable playground for your children. Whether in the inner city or on the seafront, youngsters can enjoy a wide range of activities to help them discover Brittany in a fun and educational way.

It's possible to visit the Intra-Muros with children!

One of the best ways to discover Saint-Malo is to visit the old ramparts and their many secrets. To make sure your children don't miss a thing during their stay in Brittany, you can offer them a copy of the Carnet de Bord du P'tit Corsaire at the town's Tourist Office. Sold for €1.50, it helps children discover Saint-Malo through riddles and puzzles. In short, everything kids love!
A second activity we highly recommend is Geocaching equipped with a smartphone or GPS, the whole family can set out to conquer the Intra-Muros. Numerous treasure chests are hidden in key areas of the city center, offering the chance to find a multitude of unusual and delightful objects.
Finally, the little train of Saint Malo, a regional symbol, passes through all the streets of the corsair city. What more could you ask for than a guided tour in search of a whole host of treasures?

Why not visit Le Sillon beach with your children?

There are plenty of activities organized all year round on the Sillon beach (less than 15 minutes' walk from our cheap hotel in Saint-Malo) that your children are sure to enjoy. The most interesting of these is probably the trip offered by the Al Lark association, which proposes outings of around an hour at sea to meet bottlenose dolphins in their natural element. Sea outings aboard the Tursiops II are open to children aged 3 and over! How will they react when they come face-to-face with a cetacean?
Alternatively, why not organize a horse or carriage ride with an aperitif to round off the day? A number of organizations offer this type of service in St-Malo, giving you the opportunity to discover emblematic sites such as Fort National.
