A hundred works by Étienne Blandin at Chapelle Saint-Sauveur
Art lovers staying at our hotel in Saint-Malo until October 27 won't want to miss the monograph devoted entirely to the painter Étienne BlandinThe monograph not only includes some one hundred works and objects on display, but also expands on the theme of the exhibition with the reproduction of many previously unpublished paintings.
Little known to the general public, Étienne Blandin was nevertheless a talented painter. It's not for nothing that the Chapelle Saint-Sauveur has been fully fitted out to house his finest canvases.
Son of a sailor from Cancale, Étienne Blandin soon began producing landscapes of the region, not forgetting his unmissable portraits of privateers. Étienne Blandin died in 1991 and is now buried in the Rosay marine cemetery.
